Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. We opened our doors in 2000, but I have been working in alteration shops since 1986. I took costuming courses at Mt Hood Community College in 1989-90 and attended the Art Institute of Portland in 2007-8 in the Fashion Design program. I took many courses at the Ai. Some of my favorites included Textiles, Pattern Making, Draping (a form of pattern making on a figure or dress form), and Fashion sketching. I am a member of the Association of Sewing and Design Professionals and attended their conference here in Portland in October 2011. Combined my staff has over 75 years of professional alterations & sewing experience.
I specialize in Bridal and Formal Attire, while other staff members help out with alterations and repairs. We can alter your entire wardrobe... from original jean hems and casual
clothing, to cocktail and Bridal gowns. We will alter bridesmaid
dresses, wedding gowns, mother of the bride/groom dresses, or even
custom create a gown for you or your entire wedding party. We provide alteration services including zipper replacements and custom made garments to the Gresham area and beyond. We are more than your average alteration shop that does repairs. Our staff has 35 years of experience in Military Uniforms, Carol & I have worked with every branch but we are most familiar with Army and Marine regulations. Please remember to bring in your shoes for the perfect length. We can tailor, hem, add blood stripes, and change out rank patches. We also alter men's and women's suits and jackets; we will do shoulder work, or shortening bottoms and collars, items that the average shop may not do, as well as common alterations like sleeve shortening and sides in or out. We will alter pants, not just hemming, but seat strides in, waist seats in or out, lowering the waist band, or simply removing hook closures and putting in a button and button hole.
We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and we look forward to meeting you.
